WHEN I VANISH I CAN SEE

2020 has changed me. During this seemingly never-ending time of stay-at-home and social distancing, I have had to practice removing my expectations. The result is a deeper relationship with myself, my home and my spouse. When I embrace the isolation, then new shapes and stories struggle forward. This interest in the personal and continual process of becoming motivates my practice.

“When I vanish, I can see” was shown at Hyde Park Art Center, September - November 2020, as part of the “Unmuted” exhibition. We are nine artists who came together the only way possible (remotely via google meet) through the Bridge Program. Only our art has existed in the same physical space.
